On time service

Jeremy showed up early and stayed long to do our spring check up both inside and out. Cleaned our condensers so the entire system will operate efficiently. He also took the time to quote me on adding additional zone controls and a upgraded filtration system.

Quick Service but Bad news

The service was quick but the tech found a problem in that the unit may need to be replaced. That is not a happy thought even though he go the unit cooling better.

Furnace Repair near Madison Dr. I received a call from a customer who reported that their furnace was cycling on and off frequently. I arrived at the customer's house and inspected the furnace. I found that the air filter was clogged, causing the furnace to work harder than necessary. I replaced the filter and tested the furnace, confirming that it was no longer cycling frequently.

Residential service call for a customer in The Colony and Upon arrival found upstairs coil draining into the emergency drain pan. Checked level on coil and it was leaning correctly. Checked drain ports, found that the main line didn’t get a strap put back on causing main drain to be higher than drain port. Reconnected lines and strapped down drain line. Watched system drain for 15min and saw no more water coming out of secondary. System is now draining at this time.

Residential service call for a customer in The Colony and Upon arrival found that the upstairs system was not cooling properly. Checked indoor unit and found everything operational. Checked inside coil and found a decent amount of rust on coil. Checked outdoor unit and found that the Freon levels were low. Gave options on adding refrigerant, replacing rusted coil or doing a complete system change out. Homeowner opted to just add refrigerant. With system being low, adding refrigerant does have the potential to leak back out. Added 4lbs of 410-a to system to set charge. System has a supply temp of 57 and return temp of 75. System is now cooling at this time.

Residential service call in The Colony for a broken thermostat and Upon arrival found thermostat off of wall. Thermostat is an I comfort and screen was blank. Equipment didn’t need the communication Tstat, Nathen was ok with just a basic Tstat for now. Installed basic Tstat. Found that the equipment is two stage heat and cool meaning Tstat wire needs to be a eight wire to get full capability of system and a five wire is what’s present. Also system only has about 1200 cfms for return air when system is calling for 2000cfms. Downstairs unit needs more return air. Needs atleast a 14in duct added with a 20x20 grill.

Springtime Air Conditioning Maintenance for a residential customer near Tribute. Upon arrival found the upstairs system not cooling. Homeowner stated that a previous company said that there was a leak in the evaporator coil. Checked indoor unit and opened up coil door, found oil residue on coil drain pan. Also found 4 one inch filters stacked in four inch section in filter rack. System only needs one one inch filter, or one 16x25x4. Adding more 1inch filters cuts down the airflow through the system. Checked outdoor unit and found pressures low system is about 3-5lbs low on 410-A. Evaporator coil is under warranty, but labor is not covered. Coil is in stock at Lennox in Lewisville. Also outdoor coil needs to be cleaned. Homeowner wanted to hold off on repair for right now.

Spring Commercial Air Conditioning repair service call in The Colony and found that there’s two units that cover the store. Both units were not cooling. Checked system for front of store and found air handler coming on but outside unit not. Checked outdoor unit and found that the main incoming power wire had burnt up with a few other power wires and burnt up the connections on contactor. Replaced contactor to see if there were any other damages, made wire repairs and turned system on. Condenser came on, checked pressures and they were good. Customer happy on departure.
